Happy Birthday Ellen

Ellen had a birthday yesterday!  She is attending the STAMP A STACK class today, so I have a gift for her.  Ellen always remembers my birthday so I try to make hers special too.

Here is the card I made for Ellen.  It's made with our new in color CRISP CANTALOUPE and very vanilla.  I stamped on the die cut letters with the stamp set SUMMER SILHOUETTES then added a bow and one extra large rhinestone.  I love this.... Wouldn't it look cute in a frame on her desk?
thanks for stopping in, and have a blessed day!

Stamp a Stack

One of the cards my guest will make at my stamp a stack this Saturday, is this tulip punch art.  I love large flowers and 3-D images.

As my grandson Clay said, " grammy, I love your cards, they make me what to touch them".  Clay likes the texture and the dimension, he kept rubbing this card as he examined it.

You have seen me use the All Dressed Up stamp set to make a tulip like this, but this time I used the framelit.  I know, your saying to yourself, why didn't I think of that?  It's okay, we all have different ideas, that's why this craft is so much fun! Sharing and caring, that's what we do.

Have a fabulous day!

Stampin Up! Promotion

Meet Cary ( and hubby Matt).  I'm so excited for Cary, she just promoted to Sr. Supervisor.  Cary is a goal setter and a go getter.  Put that together with Cary's talent, her fun personality, her family support and you have success.

I'm so proud of Cary, she has become a leader.  As a little reward, I have invited Cary to lunch.  I want to celebrate her success with an afternoon of good food, great conversation and girl time.

This is a very exciting time for Cary, her first convention is just around the corner, her team is growing and as a result blessings will flow.  I can't wait to see what Cary does next....

Great Job SR. SUPERVISOR, you wear your title well!

A Gift

Last week I received a call, Linda called to tell me that she left a hydrangea blossom at my front door.  I rushed to find it, oh my it was beautiful!  What a sweet gift.

Linda and I had discussed dried hydrangea's a few times, I have always wanted to dry some petals with the intention of adding the blossoms to my cards.

Here is my first attempt, the petals dried in books for 4 days.  I simply stamped the stem from the stamp set " Everything Elenore".  The stem wasn't long enough for this large blossom, so I stamped it twice to make it longer.  Then I added ribbon, I just love this always artichoke seam binding, this color is being retired though, so if you want some please let me know.

Thank you, Linda!  I can't wait to play with these dried flowers some more.  I love the look, I think a shadow box is in order.

His and Hers

Just before Mother's Day, I attended a Stampin' Up! Class, boy was it fun to be a student, customer.

Sandy Troche is very very talented, Sandy has been stamping for many years, but decided to become a demonstrator about 7 months ago.

At sandy's class she had two projects ready for her guests to make.  One card for mom and another for dad.  This is one of the card we all made, YEAH!!! just in time for Father's day. I will be sending this card to my brother.  My brother is retired, but he was a business man for many years, so this card is perfect for him.

Sandy got my creative juices flowing, I started thinking about blouses, how can I make a card for ladies with this same type of shirt theme???

Last night while Kenn was cooking dinner for our church, I started to work.  I guess Jenney is on my mind, she is our youngest and she so wants a baby.  I've been praying for her and Steve, and last night my thoughts moved to my hands and this second card is what was created.

I used the cupcake punch to make the little pocket on the blouse and the square scallop punch to make the neck line.  Dimensionals make the baby bump. Can you tell I would like a baby girl?  Jenney plans to name her baby girl Kensy after her dad, but we have decided to call her JR ( well if Jenney likes that idea ).  If God blesses us with a boy, his middle name will be Kenn.  I think it is so sweet that Jenney is including her dad in her baby's name.

Thank you Sandy, I had fun at your class.  Sandy lives here in Tracy, she will travel to show your friends the art, let me know if you want her to show you how to make this great card for the men in your life!

Mixed Bunch

Mixed Bunch sums up yesterday.  It was a day of stamping with talented demonstrators, some new and some who have been demonstrators for many many years.

We stamped and stamped, talked and laughed, ate awesome potluck specialties and then stamped some more.  What a fun day and night.

This card was designed by Karen a new demonstrator from Stockton.  Karen combined the Mixed Bunch stamp set with the new dsp, Gingham Garden.  I love this card, its simple, crisp and clean.  Karen did a GREAT job designing this one, don't you agree?

Notice the button in the middle of the flower, it's new also product, the buttons in this set are vanilla in color, lacy and very dainty looking.  I totally love them.

I added the sentiment I miss you already from a new stamp set.  This set is one of my favorite new sets, it's so cute, I love the different fonts and I love the sizes of the images.

So this card is a mix of a stamp set and a punch that you already have.  I wanted to show you that this dsp, the buttons and the new stamp set " Really Great Greetings" will mix right in with the sets you already have!  The colors are Pacific Point, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight.

Thank you Karen, for coming yesterday and sharing your talents with us. We are already planning the next stamp day around the Holiday Catalog!

OLD and The NEW!

Hi Cary, this post is for you.  I know you wanted to be here today but your schedule did not allow. SO here is a project I made to display at today's event.

This frame is really a mat.  Remember that graduation decor that I posted yesterday?  Well it had a 5 x 7 mat inside.  I didn't need the mat, I just needed the frame to fit my 8x10 image.  When I looked at the mat I thought, hey in the new catalog there are some frames made with mats, I think I will try to make one.  So I did and this is what I came up with.

The elegant bird die is so beautiful, I just love that die.  This die is an item that I will not be selling in my garage sale.  Ive made so many projects using this die, I will continue to use it for my personal use.  Its a die that allows you to make so many different things using different parts of it.  Here, I just used the head of the bird. In the past Ive used just the wing, and yet other times I've used all of the images.  This die Is on sale, it's on the retired list and on sale right now so let me know if you want one.  I love how just her/his head is peeking out from this frame.

And the simply clay rose, oh those molds and that clay is so much fun to make and beautiful.  The molds and clay are items available to you in the new catalog.  You can order them on May 31.

Isn't this frame sweet?  It's fresh, clean and bright and cheery!  Perfect for a little girls picture.

Thankyou to all of the ladies who have RSVP'd for my gathering, you will see more frames that day, maybe even win one!
